John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

RED RIVER REVEL AND PRIZE FEST 2019–ENTERTAINMENT OVERLOAD?

Goodness, both events are great festivals for Shreveport and northwest Louisiana.

The Revel is a long standing institution. The variety of events and artisans increase every year along with the attendance.

The film fest is fast becoming one–along with the ever expanding ancillary events. Competitions in music, food, and fashion were part of the prize fest.

But do these two great events need to overlap? Seriously....

How much does the Revel sacrifice to the fest events–and vice versa?

And how bout the event goers who often choose to go only to the downtown fest or festival plaza?
