IS A COLLEGE DEGREE NECESSARY TO BE CADDO COMMISSION CLERK?

That was the question debated by the Caddo commission at its work session on Mon. Nov 18. The job qualifications used when current clerk Todd Hopkins was hired did NOT require a degree. Hopkins retires at the end of the year.

The Commission modified the job description to require a college degree at its Nov. 7 meeting. After further reflection and citizen input, several commissioners expressed concerns about this added qualification.

This issue will be reconsidered by the Commission at its Thurs. Nov.21 meeting.
