COMMISSION CLERK JOB--WILL A 2 YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE SUFFICE?

The Caddo Commission considered deleting the requirement of a college degree from the job posting for the Caddo clerk position. On a 5-5 vote, a motion to delete a college degree as a mandatory condition failed.

After the meeting, I was contacted by an individual interested in the clerk position. The question posed was whether or not a 2 year associate degree would meet the requirements of this position. An ancillary question that came up in the conversation was whether or not a degree from an unaccredited college, including online decrees, would suffice.

My advice was to apply for the job and hope for the best. The deadline for applying is Mon. Nov. 25 at the end of the business day.
