John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CHIEF CITY COURT JUDGE EMBROILED IN TRAGIC TALE; 911 DISPATCHED TO SHOOTING AT JUDGE'S HOME

Questions are still being raised concerning the tragic events involving a city employee and a city court judge, last Thursday.

Shreveport police have confirmed that units were dispatched to the home of Chief Shreveport City Court Judge R. Lee Irvin in the 6100 block of River Road. A call was received concerning a white female with a self-inflicted wound to the face.

The victim was identified as his estranged ex-girlfriend, Ashley Wiggins. She is the assistant to the director of public works for the City of Shreveport.
