John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO REGISTRAR OF VOTERS ROBERSON RESIGNS

Long time Caddo Registrar of Voters Ernie Roberson has tendered his resignation to the Caddo Commission. It is effective next month, at a day to be determined.

Roberson has served as Registrar since 1990.

Under Louisiana law, Roberson’s replacement will be named by the Caddo Commission.

The new registrar must have one of the following at the time of appointment:

a) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and two years of full-time, professional work experience.

b) An associate degree from an accredited institution and four years of full-time, professional work experience.

c) Seven years of full-time, professional work experience.

d) Five years of full-time employment in a registrar’s office in Louisiana.
