John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

REVISION - - BYRD, VICTORY AND WINCHELL–LATEST CAMPAIGN REPORTS


Edwin Byrd, Chris Victory and Mary Winchell are vying for an open seat on the Caddo District court bench.

The latest campaign reports cover the period from Sept. 25 through Oct. 14. 

Byrd had contributions in excess of $19,500.  He had expenditures of $38,000. Byrd had funds at the end of the closing period in excess of $54,000.

Byrd has raised over $160,000.

Victory raised $11,5000. He had expenditures in excess of $42,000. Victory He had funds on hand in excess of $51,000.

Victory has raised a total of over $112,500

Winchell's contributions were $3400. She had expenses of $3500. Winchell had funds on hand of $3800.

Winchell has raised over $13,000.

Other than contributions of $500 or more, these are the last financial reports that will be filed before the Nov. 3 election.
