LOANS TO JUDICIAL CAMPAIGNS RANGE UP TO $73,000

There are five contested Caddo judicial races with 14 candidates on the Nov. 3 primary.

The judicial districts are geographic areas. Thus not all five contested elections will be on each ballot.

Six candidates have loaned substantial sums to their campaigns.

This list is based on the last campaign filing report date of Oct. 14.

Candidate loans:

Paul Wood--candidate for Shreveport City Court--$73,000

Edward Mouton--candidate for Shreveport City Court--$58,700

Chris Victory--candidate for Caddo District Court--$30,000

Mary Winchell–candidate for Caddo District Court– $17,000

Emily Merckle–candidate for Shreveport City Court--$7,500

Trina Chu–candidate for Second Circuit Court of Appeals--$3,200

Undoubtedly several candidates will loan their campaign more money for the 19 days after the last report to cover expenses through Nov. 3.
