CADDO COMMISSION DROPS SUIT AGAINST GOVERNOR

Waiting until after Caddo voters approved the three parish tax renewals, the Caddo Commission voted unanimously to dismiss the litigation filed against Governor John Bel Edwards over the right to have unlimited ZOOM Commission meetings.

Most legal scholars had viewed the litigation as a total waste of time.

The Commission discussed this matter in Executive Session on Monday, November 2.

The vote to dismiss -- with no explanation or comments -- was at the regular meeting on Thursday, November 5.

Parish Attorney Donna Frazier declined to share any reason for the dismissal.

Obviously, the futile effort was a total waste of time.

Thankfully, the parish attorneys handled the litigation, so no additional expense was incurred by the parish.
