John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

BIG FUSS OVER NEW SEATS AT RIVERVIEW THEATRE

After being closed for over 17 months, Shreveport’s Riverview Theatre reopened on Nov. 9 last year with Shreveport Opera’s production of “Man of La Mancha.”

The excitement of being able to mount a full-fledged opera production was quickly forgotten by those sitting on the ground floor.

The newly installed seats were uncomfortable. And to make matters worse, the rows were so close that it was very difficult to get into an out of seats that were not on the end of an aisle.
