WHY IS JUDGE WILSON CAMPAIGNING FOR SANTI PARKS?

Bossier City Judge Tommy Wilson shares offices with Bossier City Attorney Santi Parks. They have had offices in the same building for many years.

It’s a well-known fact in Bossier City that Parks is a protégé of Wilson. And that Wilson has groomed Parks to replace him this year when he retires.

Parks has launched his campaign for the fall election. He has billboards in Bossier and has written many Bossier attorneys.

Numerous sources have reported that Wilson is actively campaigning for Parks behind the scenes.

It is a violation of the judicial ethics for judges to do anything but attend, for free, political events for judicial candidates.

The Louisiana Supreme Court and the Louisiana Judiciary Commission rarely admonish judges for ethical violations. Wilson’s actions are almost as damning as the fact that Shreveport City Judge Lee Irvin was still on the bench hearing criminal cases before his January 30 suspension.

Bossier City has long been known among attorneys as the “free state of Bossier” when it comes to compliance with laws and regulations. Wilson’s actions are a further testament to this sad state of affairs.

And what does that say about Parks and his respect for judicial ethics?
