John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

THE CIRCUS AT BOSSIER CITY HALL CONTINUES ...

You don’t need to have a circus visit Bossier City. There’s one permanently in residence at City Hall.

That was reinforced recently over an issue that began with the city going against type. Long accustomed to frittering away tax dollars by its acting as venture capitalist, at the beginning of the year it seemed poised to shed a moneylosing asset to save taxpayer money. The Republican Mayor Lo Walker Administration signaled to the City Council that it would lease the Civic Center.
