It’s time for the health experts, the social media crowd and the public in general to stop the chatter about what could have been done to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. "Could" is the operative word and it is different from suggestions on what "should" be done at this time.
The national media is as much to blame for this new game of "virus blame." These talking heads on TV should be ignored. And the same for the long "filler" stories appearing in newspapers.
Elected officials should also refrain from using coronavirus rhetoric for political attack or image building.
FOCUS SB will not participate in this divisive and destructive dialogue.
All these nonproductive efforts could and should be directed to positive messages of hope, help for others and protection from the virus.
FOCUS SB will continue to report stories that build our community and recognize the many efforts to keep us safe.
