BOSSIER PARISH POLICE JURY AND GOING BACK TO WORK

In response to my inquiry on when the employees of the Bossier Parish Police Jury would resume normal work routine, the Parish Administrator Bill Altimus replied as follows:

The Bossier Parish Police Jury office staff has continued to work from day one onsite practicing the social distancing guidelines, mask are available, temperatures are taken at the beginning of each work day. We have the capability of sanitizing our work spaces and also the various parish vehicles on a daily basis. The Highway Department in the beginning was split into two crews , we rotated these weekly for several weeks.  As of two weeks ago, they have all returned to work and are having their temperatures taken in the morning, must wear mask when they are in vehicles unless they are alone and as noted above , their vehicles are sanitized at the end of each work day. The Library staff went home except for a few essential personnel and their maintenance crew. Two weeks ago they reported back to work at their respective branches and have mask and hand sanitization in their locations. Our Section 8 staff has the capability to work from home and are continuing to do so, they have had their phone system roll over to their cell phones for quick response daily.

The Parish continues to do the necessary work and hope we all return to normal operations in short order.
