CADDO COMMISSION AND GOING BACK TO WORK

In response to my inquiry on when the employees of the Caddo Commission would resume normal work routine, the parish Administrator Dr. Woodrow Wilson replied as follows:

John, here's our position regarding your question of when the Parish is going to return to work at Government Plaza: out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our citizens and employees, Caddo Parish will adhere to the Governor’s stay-at-home order and continue to maintain a combination of telework and on-site work until the order expires on May 15, 2020.  Parish departments are developing action plans to migrate our employees back into Parish offices after the order expires to include some telework, flexible schedules, staggered shifts, etc. to continue to encourage social distancing.

Although we are teleworking in certain situations, Caddo Parish is operational and continuously addressing citizens’ concerns and issues.  Parish functions conducted through telework include paying bills, making bank deposits, recording revenue collections, processing payroll, addressing media inquiries, coordinating press events, coordinating benefits, processing health claims, developing COVID-19 policies and guidelines, answering animal dispatch calls, running reports, performing juvenile probation services, processing CVEU issues, processing online adjudicated property applications, processing permits, and much more.

Take care,

Woody
