SHOULD FIREWORKS BE BANNED IN SHREVEPORT CITY LIMITS?

That’s the question one Shreveport City Council member has brought up for discussion.

Councilman James Green has proposed an ordinance amendment that will preclude the discharge of fireworks in Shreveport.

This ordinance is on the agenda for a vote at the next council meeting on Tuesday, May 26.

Green has not proposed illegalizing the sale of fireworks in the city of Shreveport.

The council meeting will be conducted by ZOOM. Citizens wanting to comment on this proposed amendment should email their comments to the clerk of the city council.
