John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

STATUS OF LA. 3132 INNER LOOP EXTENSION

Like practically everything else, the COVID-19 pandemic has delayed both progress on the proposed LA 3132 extension.

This project is administered by the Northwest Louisiana Council of Governments (NLCOG).

Part of the selection and approval process for the 3132 extension is the requirement of NLCOG and the LA 3132 Stage 1 Environmental Study Committee of hold an open house-style public hearing to discuss the results of the Environmental Assessment for the LA 3132 (Inner Loop) Extension project.

This hearing was set for March 19. It was cancelled to comply with Gov. Edward's COVID-19 proclamation on Friday, March 13.

This event will be rescheduled when it is determined that conditions are safe for the meeting and after a required 30-day notice period.
