Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator announced last week that Rick Farris has been named commander of the Caddo Correctional Center. Farris will replace Commander Bobby Wyche, who is retiring in September after 19 years with the Sheriffs Office.
Farris has been employed by the for 28 years. He served as a captain at the jail for 16 of those years. He has also served as a patrol deputy, Internal Affairs sergeant, and a deputy in the Organized Crime Division.
Prator also announced the promotion of Pamiko Pineset to lieutenant in corrections. Pineset the sheriff’s office in 1996 and has worked as a corrections deputy, court bailiff, training academy instructor and corrections sergeant.
Caddo Correctional Center is a full-service jail rated at a capacity of 1,500 beds. Designed to successfully manage a large number of inmates with a minimum of personnel, CCC is the largest jail in the Ark-La-Tex and the only “direct supervision” facility in the state of Louisiana.
