WILL BOSSIER COUNCIL PLAY SANTA CLAUS FOR NORTH BOSSIER YMCA?

Bossier councilman  David Montgomery aka King David keeps pushing for Bossier City to spend $30 million or more for a north Bossier YMCA.
This money would come from an $75 million bond package that has been approved by the Bossier city council in Oct.

Bossier spent $70,000 on a marketing/feasibility study that has been gathering dust. But King David has not given up on this wished for bounty for the most affluent area of Bossier City.

Montgomery has lined up YMCA chief executive officer Gary Lash to make a presentation to the Bossier council at its meeting on Tues. Dec. 7. It may be a little late for him to ask Santa for the money, but who knows.

Mayor Tommy Chandler has previously stated he opposes public dollars being used for construction of this facility. Reportedly at least five council members also oppose this proposal.

King David's free reign to run Bossier City and the council has been seriously curtailed since Tommy Chandler took office as mayor. He does like to support various government entities and non-profits that have insurance coverage with his agency, so who knows how many favors the King may call in to get the YMCA back on track.

Tune in Tues. at 3 p.m. And remember it’s the free state of Bossier and anything is possible!
