John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Goodness, it’s been sooooo long, as in too long.

The last event at Shreveport’s Festival Plaza was a Mardi Gras event in early 2020.

So get ready and mark it down. Party on the Red will be at Festival

Party on the Red will be at Festival Plaza April 15-17.

Other events in the Port City Fest include the Classic Expo sponsored by the Shreveport-Bossier African-American Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor’s Golf Invitational Tournament, Port City Fan Fest and the Bayou Classic Football Game.

The Port City Fest is sponsored by the City of Shreveport, LouisianaTravel, Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, Shreveport-Bossier Tourist & Convention Bureau, Caddo Parish, Bossier Parish, State Fair of Louisiana, AT&T, Rho Omega & Friends.

More events are expected as well as additional sponsors.
