REFORM SHREVEPORT BUILDS MOMENTUM FOR REVITALIZING CADDO HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD
Momentum is everything. Shreveport’s revitalization efforts have had many obstacles to contend with — budgets, apathy and COVID, to name a few. Momentum, however, is a renewable resource, and you can borrow it from others.
Prior to the winter storm, ReForm Shreveport — a group dedicated to cultivating connections between residents, business and government to revitalize our community — had been engaged with stakeholders in Caddo Heights. The community was asking for help to combat blight and stem the decline of their neighborhood. You may know ReForm Shreveport from the well-known Shreveport Water Outage Map they created, which allowed neighbors to connect with each other and fed the city vital information which informed recovery efforts. ReForm wanted to bring that experience and momentum to Caddo Heights.
