Bossier City has land for sale!
Specifically lots 1, 2, 3 of Swan Lake Subdivision Unit #3.
Lot 1 has been appraised at $11,000, Lot 2 for $3,000, and Lot 3 for $1,300.
Bossier City also owns Tracts 1 & 2 Swan Lake Road.
Tract 1 has been appraised at $6,300 and Tract 2 for $13,500.
Bossier police juror Jack "Bump" Skaggs wants to buy all of this property.
Under Louisiana law, a municipality must follow the following procedure before selling any municipally owned property:
1. an ordinance must be introduced giving the reasons for the sale and fixing the minimum price and terms for the sale.
2. opposition to the sale must be made in writing and filed with the city clerk
