JUDGE WADDELL - GARRETT SETS LOW BOND FOR BROADMOOR KILLER

Marshall Atkins shot and killed Broadmoor resident Jonathan Bellot on Oct. 9 of last year.

Two days before the shooting Atkins appeared in Judge Waddell - Garrett's courtroom on four drug and two weapons charges.

This was after he failed to appear at a prior court appearance and Erin Leigh had issued a bench warrant for Atkin's arrest. She set his bond at $37,500.

Atkins is a felon with a 2015 conviction of aggravated assault with a firearm. He received a three-year suspended sentence with a special condition of probation to not own or possess a firearm.

In Sept. of last year, before Erin Leigh set his bond, Atkins plead guilty to an unauthorized entry charge in Bossier parish.

After his arrest for murder Caddo District Judge John Mosely, Jr. set a $1 million bond for Atkins.
