Tonight at 6 p.m. Mayor Perkins, SPD Chief Wayne Smith and Chief Technology Officer Keith Hanson are speaking at the Skybox at Independence Stadium.

This meeting has been organized by the City of Shreveport.

As of yesterday at 4:50 p.m. there was no written agenda.

Maybe the meeting is to talk about the weather?
This meeting is in a public place and it is being held by public officials.

Thus it is a public meeting that must be open to the general public.

Surprisingly there has been no public announcements of this meeting.

16 neighborhood associations have been invited along with Image Changers.

But guess which groups not invited?

How about two of the most active in Shreveport - Broadmoor Neighborhood Association and Highland Restoration Association.

And how about South Hills Business Association and South Hills Homeowners Association?

And others throughout the city?

All citizens can attend this meeting.

All neighborhood groups can attend.

It’s a sad statement that the general public was not invited, but now they are!

One can only wonder if those groups invited represent areas that Mayor Perkins hope will support his re-election bid.?
