BIG MEETING TOMORROW 3 P.M. ON RETIREES HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN

Tomorrow the Board of Trustees of Shreveport's Health Care Trust Fund meet to to discuss/decide the health care plan for retirees.

Word on the street is that many firefighters and other retirees adamantly oppose the plan that Shreveport Chief Administrative Officer Henry Whitehorn is advocating.

Reportedly retirees enrolled in the Ochsner will be forced to a Medicare Advantage Plan.

Many doctors and medical facilities do not honor that advantage plan.

There are many substantial questions concerning coverage, dropping a plan and eligibility to re-enroll and costs that hopefully will be fully disclosed at the meeting.

The meeting is in the mayor's conference room on second floor, Government Plaza.
