LOUISIANA SUPREME COURT RULES TO ALLOW PERKINS' RE-ELECTION BID

The suspense is over.

The Louisiana Supreme Court has issued its rulings in Mayor Perkins' appeal to stay on the mayoral ballot for the Nov. 8 election.

The case was argued on Tues. of this week.

A four person majority of the court ruled to reverse the decision of the Second Circuit affirming disqualification of Perkins.

Three justices, include Justice Scott Crichton, voted to affirm the disqualification.

The opinions can be reviewed on the court's website.

Perkins will now be one of 10 candidates on the Nov. 8 ballot for Shreveport mayor.
