John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

The mystery should be resolved at a special meeting of the Caddo Commission on Jan. 12 at 4:30 p.m.

Resumes were submitted for the position by the following persons who live in District 8: Frank Thaxton IV, Jason Frazer, Grace Ann Blake, Lea Desmarteau, Ronald Cothran.

A letter of interest was received from Adele Shafferman and Bill Wilson sent an email. It is not known if either of these persons will be considered for the vacancy.

The remaining eleven commissioners will vote to name an interim commissioner for District 8.
