John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

PAPER BALLOT RECOUNT STILL LEAVES LYNDON B. JOHNSON SHORT

The Secretary of State reported the results of the primary election for Louisiana House of Representatives District 4 with a total vote count of Joy Walters with 2377, Jasmine Green with 2317 and Lyndon B. Johnson with 2285.

Johnson requested a recount of the early mail in ballot votes.

The recount gained Johnson 3 votes and Green gained 1 vote. The vote count did not change for Walters.

Thus, Johnson still finished third.
