It’s part of the political process--removal of campaign signs after an election has been decided in the primary election voting. What that means is that candidates who are not in a runoff should have removed all their campaign signs.
The Shreveport sign ordinance mandates removal within seven days of the election. So that means that the deadline for removal was Oct. 21 for all of the Oct. 14 candidates other than the general elections for Caddo sheriff, Caddo tax assessor, Senate District 39, and Representative District 4.
Most of the signs of the non-runoff candidates have been removed. But as always there are candidates who are delinquent. If the candidate will not remove the sign, then the property owner should handle this responsibility and chastise the candidate that they supported by allowing the sign to be posted.
