BIGBY MONUMENT ON EAST TEXAS ROUNDABOUT NOW HAS ADORNMENTS

It’s become a topic of controversy in Bossier City--the large expensive monument honoring Walter O. Bigby in the roundabout in East Texas which is the starting point of the Walter O. Bigby Carriageway. The monument has eight panels--two on each of its four sides.

Today four of the panels have now been adorned. The large panel as the Bossier City seal and the smaller panel a profile, presumably of Bigby.

The question of the costs approaching $350,000 for the monument will no doubt continue.

These pictures were taken at 9 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 27.
