John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

EARLY VOTING BEGINS TOMORROW (Friday) FOR RUN-OFF ELECTIONS

Caddo voters have run-off elections on the Nov. 18 ballot. The parish wide races are for Sheriff, Tax Assessor and BESE Board. Some parish voters will also have Senate district 39 and House district 4 on the ballot.

There are also state-wide run-off elections for Attorney General and Treasurer.

Early voting is Friday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 11 with the exception of Sunday, Nov. 5 and Veteran's Day Nov. 10. Hours for voting are from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm each day.

Early voting is held at two locations: the Registrar of Voters office at 525 Marshall Street across from the Caddo courthouse and at the Hamilton Branch Library at 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

Voters are reminded to take proof of identification to the polls such as driver's license, governmental ID, etc.
