CADDO COMMISSION PRESIDENT BURRELL KICKED THE WRONG DOG CALLING ME OUT AT COMMISSION WORK SESSION

Roy Burrell is the president of the Caddo Commission.

On a podcast Burrell stated unequivocally that he encouraged citizens to vote on Nov. 18 at a Commission food giveaway site that he worked.

Burrell has been criticized by Louis Avallone and others for his actions. Louisiana law prohibits the use of public funds to encourage citizens to vote.

The criticisms were on American Ground Radio co-hosted by Avallone and on the KEEL morning show with Mike and McCarty. Social media also had negative comments.

Burrell called me out in very harsh terms at the Commission work session yesterday (Mon.) during his comments, referencing the podcast, KEEL radio and comments made on that show.

After shouting at me, I replied that I had not publicly commented nor written on the food giveaway nor his comments on the broadcast. Additionally, I have not been on KEEL since that event, nor do I control any of the programming, etc.

Burrell should be censored by the Commission for his brazen attack on me that had no merit. But don't hold your breath.

I will address the Commission at its regular meeting on this Thurs. Dec. 7. Vendors are lining up to sell popcorn and peanuts.
