CADDO COMMISSIONER JACKSON CONSENTS TO STALKING PROTECTIVE ORDER

Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson has agreed to a joint protective order in the stalking case filed against him in Caddo district court.

The order prohibits Jackson and W.D. from contacting each other and it also prohibits further contact by Jackson with the nine-year-old daughter of W.D.

Jackson's attorney Courtney Harris was unsuccessful in her bid to have the court records sealed.

Thus, the entire file can be viewed by the Louisiana Ethics Administration.

Jackson aka "the stalker with the blue light special" must appear in Benton district court on Feb. 28 on the felony charge of impersonation of a law enforcement officer. Jackson reportedly used a blue light in a previously marked law enforcement vehicle to pull over a citizen.

Jackson is prohibited by the rules of the Louisiana Ethics Commission to use funds in his political campaign account to pay the fees in these two cases.

Jackson is the chair of the Commission's Juvenile Justice Committee.
