It’s a well-known fact that Shreveport council president James Green loves to flirt with black women, especially those in the council clerk's office.

It’s also known fact that Green badgered a prior clerk of the council who is white.

And evidently he did the same to the recently resigned council clerk Kendra Joseph, who is black.

In June of 2020 Green forcefully entered an optical shop pushing his way past a black woman.

At yesterday’s council work session Green went on a rant and demeaned Jon Glover, a black woman, who had spoken to the council.

Green's remarks were reprehensible to say the least.

They were no doubt sexist.

They even sounded racial as if a black woman had no right to talk to a black man or a black majority council.

Green lectured Glover as if he was a plantation master and she was a lowly black female slave.

Green is never seen in public places with his wife. Maybe that is because he believes she should stay behind at the plantation.

Green owes Glover a public apology.

But don't hold your breathe.

Glover will speak again at the council meeting today.
