John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

SPD OFFICER TYLER'S RESPONSE TO A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL ENDED IN CITIZEN FATALITY

A domestic violence call by a family member ended in the death of Alonzo Bagley late Friday evening.

Officer Alexander Tyler was the Shreveport Police officer involved in this incident.

In Jan. 2018, Bagley was also the subject of a domestic violence call.

He was arrested and charged with resisting an officer, domestic abuse battery and possession of marijuana.

Bagley plead guilty to resisting an officer in Feb. 2019.

Officer Tyler has been the subject of disciplinary action by SPD before this incident.

Tyler is on paid administrative leave during the pendency of the investigation by the Louisiana State Police.

The established protocol was following by the SPD.
