STALKER STEVEN JACKSON CHAIRS JUVENILE JUSTICE COMMITTEE MEETING TOMORROW

The Caddo Parish Commission's Juvenile Justice & Related Services Committee meets tomorrow, Thurs. at noon.

The commission will hear a presentation of the Juvenile Justice Citizen's Advisory Committee.

Lunch will be provided for the committee members, but not the general public.

Commissioner Steven Jackson is the chair of the committee.

Jackson agreed to a no contact protective order in Caddo District court last week. The temporary restraining order issued against Jackson was converted into a permanent order.

A few years back stalking charges were filed against Jackson with the Shreveport Police Department by another woman. After agreeing to not contact this lady these charges were dropped.

Jackson will appear for a felony arraignment for impersonation of a law enforcement officer in Bossier District Court on Feb. 28.

Jackson is in the last year of his second four-year term on the Commission.

Unless convicted of the felony charge, he can seek a third term on the Commission or run for another political office.
