MATT SNYDER MAKES MONEY AND INCONVENIENCES RESIDENTS WITH UPCOMING CRAWFEST

Once again Matt Snyder has a FREE booking of Betty Virginia Park for three days.

Yes, getting to use the best Shreveport owned park at NO CHARGE for a weekend.

Matt keeps the money--his company is a FOR PROFIT entity if you go to CRAWFEST you must pay to enter.

What's next-- a pay to enter Hustler Hollywood fashion show at Ford Park or pay to enter Gun and Knife show at A.B. Palmer Park?

Maybe the Gun and Knife would sell better if at Airport Park or Bilberry Park--but must pay to enter.

Hustler Hollywood is already in west Shreveport so maybe a pay to enter fashion show at David Raines Community Center.

CRAWFEST is next Fri., Sat. and Sun.

So, everyone who lives within a mile of Betty Virginia Park get ready:

-Traffic issues on Line Ave. and Fairfield Ave.

-No parking available in the small lot off Line Ave. for families wanted to use the playground equipment.

-No soccer or tee ball practice in the open area of the park with the backstop.

-Loud music until 10 p.m. at night to keep infants, youngsters, and elderly awake.

-Cars blocking driveways and streets

-Debris on Line and Fairfield from festival goers coming and going

-Traffic issues for first responders

Snyder is the only person who has ever tied up a Shreveport park for an event lasting more than one day--and to top it off he makes money from using a park maintained by city dollars.

All Shreveport council members should be concerned because pay to enter events can now be scheduled in their districts. This is not just a District B issue.

The City of Shreveport is subsidizing a FOR PROFIT venture.

Is this Good Government that the mayor and council candidates talked up last fall on the campaign trail?
