WILL HENRY WHITEHORN CHALLENGE STEVE PRATOR IN SHERIFF'S ELECTION?

That’s the word on the street.

Henry Whitehorn's lengthy resume of public service includes Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) under former mayor Adrian Perkins, retired U.S. Marshal, former Shreveport Police Chief, and former superintendent of Louisiana State Police.

Prator served over 25 years with the Shreveport Police Department and retired as Chief of Police. He has served as Caddo Sheriff for over 15 years.

Whitehorn and current Sheriff Steve Prator provide major contrasts as candidates.

Whitehorn is an African American and Prator a caucasian.

While serving as CAO Whitehorn was a GQ buttoned up "clothes horse", wearing high dollar duds complete with french cuff shirts and seven fold ties.

Prator is generally attired in casual Sheriff's uniforms and he is just as comfortable in jeans and work boots.

While CAO Whitehorn displayed a stodgy bureaucratic style that was not conducive to communications, even casual conversations.

Prator loves to joke and is one of those individuals that has never met a stranger.

Whitehorn's best friend and neighbour is Lynn Braggs.

Reportedly Caddo District Attorney James Stewart is supporting Whitehorn.

Prator has a large diverse group of supporters throughout the Parish.

Whitehorn has never run for an appointed position.

Prator has several very successful campaigns under this belt.

If Whitehorn opposed Prator, one can expect major divisions in the political ranks in the black community.
