John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

UPDATE! SHREVEPORT CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING WED. NOON

**THIS MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO TUESDAY, JULY 25 AT 1 P.M.**


The Shreveport City Council Public Safety Committee will meet this Wed. at noon in the city council chambers.

The agenda has yet to be published.

One issue most likely will be safety measures at Government Plaza.

A more pressing issue will be the murder spree the city has suffered, starting with the July 4 mass murders.

This past weekend three murders occurred.

A large crowed Is expected.

Members of the committee are Grayson Boucher (chair), Jim Taliaferro and Tabatha Taylor.

Several other council members including Gary Brooks are expected to be in attendance.

Citizens are encouraged to attend, and public comments will be allowed.
