COUNCIL CLERK CHANGES PUBLIC NOTICE OF TOMORROW'S SPECIAL MEETING TO REMOVE AGENDA ITEM REQUIRING REPAYMENT OF ILLEGAL PAYRAISES

Shreveport City Council Clerk Shanerika Fleming sent out a notice of tomorrow special meeting of the city council at 8:30 a.m. today.

The agenda included rescission of pay raises for all employees in the council clerk's office, repayment by the employees of the unauthorized pay raises, and a special investigation of the authorization of the pay raises.

Shortly thereafter Fleming sent out email rescinding her open meetings notice.

Then a few minutes before the 9 a.m. deadline for the notice of tomorrow’s meeting, she sent out a new meeting notice.

Guess what changed?

This notice removed the agenda item requiring repayment of the pay raises, DAAA.

Who authorized the change?

Why should these employees NOT be required to repay money they were not authorized to receive?

Who is in charge here?

Tune in tomorrow at the 9 a.m. city council meeting which will be an open meeting.

As with council meetings it should be streamed.

But then who knows?

WHO GETS TO APPOINT A SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR --THE CITY COUNCIL OR THE CITY ATTORNEY?
