CADDO REGISTRAR OF VOTERS HAS ACCESS TO FELONY CONVICTIONS, INTERDICTIONS, AND DEATHS

In his comments to the Caddo Commission on Thursday January 18, Caddo Registrar Dale Sibley indicated that his office had difficulty in obtaining information that is needed to purge his voter roles.

Specifically, Sibley said that voters who had felony convictions, who were 'fully' interdicted and who had died should be purged by his office from voter roles.

Seemingly, Sibley was not cognizant is several provisions of Louisiana law that provide him access to that information. This is despite the fact that he is an attorney and has held the job of Registrar since October 2010.
