DOES SHREVEPORT COUNCILMAN ALAN JACKSON LIVE IN TEXAS?

Shreveport Councilman Alan Jackson Jr. is the elected representative of council District E. This area is in southwest Shreveport.

Jackson was employed at Southern University Shreveport when he was appointed to the Shreveport City Council to replace James Flurry who resigned.

Jackson left SUSLA to go to work at Grambling. He was asked to resign from Grambling over the failure to properly document time out of the office to attend his council duties.

He then found employment at Huston-Tillotson in Austin, Texas.

Initially, it was believed Jackson was working remotely from Shreveport. However, many residents in his district advise he is never seen in Shreveport and he does not respond to inquiries from his constituents.

Apparently, Jackson now resides in Austin, not Shreveport. In divorce pleadings filed in Caddo Parish, his wife listed his domicile to be in  Travis County Texas. Austin is located in Travis County.

Reports are that Jackson's Shreveport residence is abandoned.
