KSLA CALLS OUT 50 CENT'S LEASE VIOLATIONS!
KSLA Investigates obtained a copy of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s full lease for Millennium Studios with the City of Shreveport.
The document sheds more light on the potential impact on local businesses and workers.
The lease signed in January stipulates that G-Unit Studios pay $2,400 a year in rent.
It also requires G-Unit Studios to provide assistance like internships and job training to unemployed and underemployed people in Shreveport as part of the American Rescue Plan.
And it requires G-Unit Studios to get goods and services from local, small businesses as well as minority- and women-owned businesses.
KSLA Investigates reached out to G-Unit Studios to see if any projects have been developed or produced at Millennium Studios since January and whether any job training or internships have been put in place. A spokesperson for G-Unit Studios said they have no comment.
While we wait for Jackson’s production company to move into Shreveport, the media mogul is still making moves in the industry.
Jackson announced the premiere of his new Roku fast channel, 50 Cent Action. The channel launches Dec. 10. It promises to bring high-octane movies and series curated by Jackson himself.
