SHREVEPORT BOSSIER ADVOCATES PUBLISHES PRESS RELEASE OVER TWO DAYS LATE

Let’s see--the Shreveport Bossier Advocate promised in depth investigative reporting. "Timely" was not in the hype package of the SB Advocate when it solicited funds for three years of subsidy.

The Caddo Sheriff office sent out a press release from Sheriff-elect Henry Whitehorn on Friday, June 28 at 4:45 p.m.

Three local TV stations ran this  Friday and Saturday.

At 1:15 pm today (Monday) the SB Advocate publishes online "Henry Whitehorn names new Caddo Parish Sheriff's command staff." The article is a rehash of the press release, almost three days later.

Interestingly enough, the second paragraph starts with "Whitehorn, who will swear in as sheriff at 5 p.m. Monday...". Geez--that Monday is TODAY.

Maybe emails to the Shreveport Bossier Advocate are  routed through New Orleans where its mega millionaire owner lives.

Talk about warmed over soup...
