CADDO COMMISSIONER BURRELL SHOULD STOP INJECTING STATE AND NATIONAL POLITICS INTO COMMENTS
If you have ever attended or streamed a Caddo Commission meeting, you will quickly learn that Caddo Commissioner Roy Burrell loves the spotlight. He never misses the opportunity to talk, talk, and talk.
Each Commissioner is allowed an opportunity to make comments on ANY items during the meeting. The first opportunity is near the beginning of the meeting and the last at the very end.
Burrell almost always shares his "wisdom" at both times. And in most instances he voices his opinion on national politics--bashing Donald Trump, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the national Republican Party.
He often takes swings at Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry during his long, rambling and often incoherent statements. His comments on state and national politics have NO relevance to Commission business.
Burrell's vitriolic rhetoric is especially inappropriate with the recent shooting of Trump. One Caddo Commissioner has already embarrassed himself with a Face Book post stating the shooting was staged. One can only hope Burrell keeps his mouth shut on state and national issues, but then that is like praying for miracle.
