INITIAL CADDO SCHOOL ENROLLMENT NUMBERS

The chart below is a preliminary one. However, it is somewhat informative.

1. Magnet schools draw students from all over the parish.

2. Many schools do not operate efficiently considering necessary staff needed for school-cafeteria, custodians, resource officers, security etc.

3. Some of the more rural schools have less enrollment due to the school's location and school attendance zones.

4. Enrollment at Atkins Elementary(198) and Queensborough Elementary (224) are the lowest of non-specific schools.

More analysis will follow on the enrollment in future columns. October 1 is the final date for reporting enrollment to the Louisiana Department of Education.
