The Shreveport City Council has its work session this next Monday (Aug. 26) and its regular meeting on Tuesday (Aug. 27). Both meetings start at 3 p.m.

The Arceneaux administration and the other agencies and companies involved should report on the status of payment for services and facilities provided for the Humor & Harmony Festival.
These should include the following, and any others not listed:

1. Billing and payment for Municipal Auditorium, Convention Center, Stageworks/Expo Hall and Festival Plaza rental
2. Billing and payment for security services rendered by Shreveport Police Department, Caddo Sheriff Office, Shreveport City Marshal, Louisiana State Police and Probation & Parole.
3. Billing and payment for all services provided by City of Shreveport departments including SPAR, Public Works, Property Standards, and others
4. Billing and payment for all shuttle services provided by SPORTRAN.

The festival received unprecedented support from public agencies. The festival's promotor and sponsor Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and his G-Unit should reciprocate with prompt and full payment.
