SHREVEPORT COUNCIL MEMBERS CALL ON MAYOR TO RELOCATE SPD OPERATIONS

The deteriorating condition of the Shreveport Police Department headquarters on Texas Avenue have been well documented in the media for many years. The recent bond package calls for demolition of part of the building and new facilities to be conducted on the sight.

Council members Grayson Boucher, Tabatha Taylor and James Green sent the letter attached to the Mayor addressing the severity of the problems at the headquarters and affirmative action to address the same.

Hopefully, the Mayor will respond this week or at the council work session on Monday, Sept. 23.
