DOES SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER VINSON LIVE IN HIS DISTRICT?

Dr. Terence Vinson is the Caddo School Board representative for District 3.

When he qualified for the school board race, he used a Post Office Box address. His campaign finance reports, and financial disclosure reports filed with the Louisiana Ethics Administration utilize this P.O. Box address.

Reportedly, Vinson was actually living on Carver Street when he qualified. This address IS in District 3. Pictures provided to this writer reportedly show that he is now living outside of District 3--on Harper’s Ferry Drive. What his actual residence address was on the date of qualification is unknown.

The time to challenge the residency of Vinson has expired. Thus, his position cannot be challenged on the basis of his home address. Nonetheless, this issue does reflect negatively on Vinson and the school board.

Perhaps, it’s most telling that Vinson is the lead plaintiff in the litigation against the school board in the selection process for the next superintendent. Seemingly, it was a conflict of interest for Vinson to testify against the school board, which is the named plaintiff in this lawsuit.
