John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

Film Prize Foundation is a non-profit entity exempt from federal taxation.

The 2022 federal tax return reflects the following pertinent information:

1. Gregory Kallenberg is the principal officer and chairman of the Board of Directors.

2. Heidi Kallenberg, Jazmin Jernigan, Taylor Jamison, Rhonda Butler, Mike Cooper, Wendy Horton and David Hylan are the other board members.


3. Total revenue in 2021 was $842,166; in 2022 it was $1,148,272.


4. Salaries, other compensation and employee benefits in 2021 were $195,485 and in 2022 $212,556.


5. Cash at the beginning of 2022 was $245,487 and at the end of the year $96,883.


6. Revenue less expenses in 2021 was $6,820 and in 2022 it was a minus (-)$292,438.


7. Travel expenses in 2022 were $92,540.


8. Awards and Prizes in 2022 were $157,218.


9. Contract labor expenses in 2022 were $292,928.


10. Total liabilities at the beginning of 2022 was $425,004 and at the end of the year $466,626.

The tax return was filed Nov. 15 of 2023. It is anticipated that the 2023 return will again be filed in November of this year.
