BOSSIER COUNCILMAN DARBY SPONSORS RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING PRESIDENT TRUMP

Hold on to your bootstraps and get ready for a possible dust-up at the Bossier City Council meeting on Tuesday, Jan.28.

Bossier Councilman Jeffery Darby has sponsored a resolution to congratulate President Donald J. Trump.

REPEAT: Councilman Darby wants the Bossier City Council to congratulate President Donald J. Trump, the 47th President of the United States of America.

This could be the first and only resolution by a governing body in the United States congratulating a U.S. President. To say the least it’s a precedent in Bossier and the State of Louisiana.

The resolution can be adopted Tuesday by a majority vote of the seven council members.
Darby is the only African American on the Bossier City Council and he is registered as an Independent. He represents District 2, and he has served on the Bossier Council since 1989.

Darby is seeking re-election, and he has one declared opponent, Deborah Ross.
